These and many other facts about Cypress-Fairbanks ISD often
come as a pleasant surprise to our community members. I was happy to reveal many
of them this week in my annual State of
the District presentation for the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce.

I was proud to share that our 2015 graduates earned more
than $81 million in scholarships, and that our graduation rate exceeds that of
the state by more than 4 percent.
Some eye-opening growth statistics were shared, including
our two new high schools planned by 2017-2018 and the more than 47,000 new
housing units expected in our community by 2024.
