Support the 2015 Heart Walk

We are a few weeks away from an important fundraising event for the American Heart Association – the Northwest Harris County Heart Walk & Run, set for Saturday, Oct. 3 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lone Star College – University Park (20515 State Highway 249).

The Heart Walk is always a fun community event that directly contributes to the AHA’s mission to prevent, treat and defeat heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. Last year, our participation helped raise $15,000 for these causes.

Each of you has likely been touched in some way by cardiovascular disease, through a friend, loved one or co-worker. I encourage you to participate in the Heart Walk, which you can do by visiting the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD company page on the Heart Walk website.

If you can’t participate, maybe you can contribute and “bail me out of jail?” You can visit my donation page online.
