I read an article today about the challenges of large school districts. One of the characteristics that was lauded was innovation. While I agree innovation is important, I believe the most critical characteristic is academic effectiveness achieved with financial efficiency.
I read an article today about the challenges of large school districts. One of the characteristics that was lauded was innovation. While I agree innovation is important, I believe the most critical characteristic is academic effectiveness achieved with financial efficiency.
It is so easy to get caught up in the latest and greatest technology, teaching method or 12-step plan, but great schools make sure:
- competent leaders are hired;
- quality teachers are retained; and
- resources are available equally to all students across the district.
The secret to the success of CFISD is a community that elects Trustees that empower the administration to pursue campus leaders that support teachers in their effort to teach, love and LEAD all students.
There is little wonder that the secret to our success starts with outstanding Trustees who have been recognized as one of the Texas Honor Board finalists for 2015!
We are extremely proud of our Board and grateful for their dedication to our district and their mission to impact Every Student, Every Day!
