Today in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, we pay tribute to those who have served and who currently serve our great country, defending our freedoms so we can enjoy a thriving public education system.
Many of our schools put on fantastic Veterans Day programs, and I wanted to share a few photos from them:

What a great Veterans Day celebration at Millsap Elementary School last week! I thanked veteran Don Clark for his service after the ceremony.

Black Elementary students collectively raised their hands to honor veterans at the school's celebration on Nov. 11.

These two smiling patriots are Copeland second-grade students Audrey Hoff and Lola Obar. The Copeland Colts put on a nice parade throughout the school on Veterans Day.

Students at Cypress Creek High School put out flags around the school property on Nov. 10 to prepare for their Veterans Day celebration.

Students at Yeager Elementary School wave their flags high to honor veterans on Nov. 7. This was Yeager's 14th annual celebration!
